![]() Again, this is just a more convoluted way of the client becoming activated by the MS web servers (VAMT is just acting as a kind of broker) VAMT is also able to perform "MAK proxy" activation. Ospp.vbs /act, will cause the client to either contact the discovered/configured KMShost (if a KMSclient pkey is present), or, for an MAK pkey, it will contact the MS web servers. So, if a client is configured with a MAK pkey, VAMT simply invokes exactly the same thing as would a client locally executing ospp.vbs /act VAMT doesn't hand out activations at all, VAMT simply forces the client to perform activation, based on the activation methods available to that client. All MAK activations are essentially "online".
